How to make 3 d from. Online apartment design

A 3D tour is an effective advertising tool that clearly demonstrates an object, room or open area from all sides, attracting the attention of customers and inspiring their trust. But what to do if financial possibilities are limited and you cannot allocate the necessary amount to create a professional virtual tour? In this case, is it possible to make a 3D tour yourself or is it still impossible to do without the help of professionals?

What is a 3D tour and where can it be used?

A virtual tour is a combination of panoramic photographs (spherical or cylindrical) combined into one whole, which makes it possible to move from one photo with a 360-degree view to another. At the same time, transitions between photographs remain invisible to the user, the room looks like a single, integral space. Such three-dimensional images, stitched into a 3D tour, can be supplemented with music, video, interesting voice-over, accompanied by captions and flash videos.

The main feature that distinguishes 3D tours from a set of regular photographs is their interactivity. There is a feeling of complete presence. The user himself moves around the picture and selects a fragment that interests him. He can look up, down, and, if necessary, bring some detail closer to look at it more closely. The viewer independently controls the picture.

With the help of a virtual tour, the client can familiarize himself with the premises in detail, examine the interior, layout and even feel the atmosphere of the establishment. Such 3D excursions are widely used in real estate, tourism, and museums. Detailed information about how you can use 3D tours and what opportunities open up for business using them is available in our section on professional creation of 3D tours. The finished virtual presentation is posted on websites, electronic catalogs, social networks, and various Internet services.

How to make a 3D tour from a photo

The creation of tours in 3D format is carried out by professional photo studios that have modern high-precision equipment and specialists with experience in this field. Their services are used by those who want to receive a high-quality three-dimensional presentation that will interest not only the target audience, but also ordinary users and strengthen the position of the site. However, such projects require considerable financial investments, so often people who are just starting their own business, at the initial stage, take on the task of creating a virtual tour for their website.

The creation process consists of three stages:

1

Photography;

2

Processing of received photos;

3

Tour assembly.

Shooting an object

This is the most important and responsible part of the process, because the quality of the future tour will depend on how you take the pictures. To take photographs, you must use a digital SLR camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens. It must be installed on a stable tripod with a panoramic head. For one 3D panorama you need to take from 4 to 8 accurate photos. It is unlikely that you will be able to completely get rid of image distortions; try to minimize them. To do this, use our recommendations:

Place the camera in the center of the circle so that all frames taken are in focus;

It’s better to stitch together pictures in places with the same colors, for example, gray walls of a room will do, and think about these connection lines in advance, even at the shooting stage;

to fix the camera in space, use a level;

the rotation angle should be 120°, follow the turn signal scale;

When shooting different series of photographs, the camera must be synchronized in the horizontal and vertical planes.

Treatment

The resulting images are combined into one 3D photo panorama. During the joining process, distortions are removed, color is corrected and sharpness is adjusted. You can use filters and apply retouching. All the photos taken are collected together manually or using special stitching programs. Sometimes the projection is converted into a hexagonal cube and translated into common 3D panoramic formats, for example, Flash, HTML5. Also during processing, active zones are applied, graphics, inscriptions, pictures, sound and other elements are selected. To view the finished tour, use browsers. Depending on the format of the 3D panoramas, it is often sufficient to use a regular browser that supports Java script.

Assembly

The assembly of 3D panoramas into a tour is carried out in special builder applications. It should be taken into account that each program works with a specific file format and they may differ for the builder and stapler. Therefore, it is recommended to use programs from the same company to avoid discrepancies.

To link panoramas in each photo, the program determines active zones and provides smooth transitions between them. Inscriptions and other additional elements are placed in the same place. Active zones can be interesting interior items, products, objects that need to be highlighted so that the client pays attention to them. You can add a navigator to a three-dimensional presentation, then the user will see where he is. Moving around the picture is done by points, plan or in automatic mode.

Do it yourself or turn to professionals?

You can make a virtual 3D tour yourself, but you should understand that in order to get a high-quality product, you need to use the appropriate material. Photos for panoramas must be perfect, so you need to understand not only the intricacies of design, but also photography. You can invite a professional photographer, but you will have to pay for his services.

In addition, image processing software is not free. You will need to buy a license or pay separately for the creation of panoramas. Taking into account all the nuances, the cost of a 3D tour will most likely turn out to be more than you expected. Another disadvantage is the lack of experience of a non-professional performer in creating a virtual tour using 3D modeling and other technologies.

A team of specialists will develop a tour that will show your object or premises from its advantageous side, highlight the advantages and hide the disadvantages as much as possible. Professionals will take into account all the individual features of your project when planning your presentation.

Therefore, we can conclude that a 3D tour created by yourself is good as a demo version for studying the technology of constructing such 3D products and understanding the mechanisms of their operation. And a high-quality tour without any shortcomings can make an impression on site visitors, attract attention, surprise and be remembered. So that customers want to return to your page and review the extensive tour again.

For store owners and photographers: how to get rotating images of items (products) on the site, in online store e

Capturing and preparing rotating 3D images is carried out in two stages:

Stage 1 - photo or video shooting of an object on a turntable

The object to be photographed is placed in the center of the turntable disk.

The camera is mounted on a tripod and the optimal lighting is adjusted.

Shooting in a lightcube gives excellent results - it’s easier to illuminate the subject, and shadows are well dispersed. Against the background of the white walls of the lightcube, the edges of the white turntable are less visible.

The focal length of the lens is usually set in the range from 50mm to 120mm. To convey the correct proportions and shape of the object being photographed, the distance from the object to the camera lens must be significantly greater than the size of the object itself. It is advisable that the front edge of the turntable disk, as well as the side edges of the disk to the left and right of the object, do not fall into the frame. If there is nothing extraneous in the frame, and the exposure is set correctly, then you will not need labor-intensive processing of the photographic material (or the processing will be very simple).

The object is then photographed (or video shot) at different angles of rotation of the disk. Usually a full rotation of 360 degrees or more is made.

Video . The result of shooting a video will be one video file, it can be processed, for example, by the program.

Photography. As a result of 3D photography, we get a series of similar photographs of an object with different angles of rotation relative to the camera:

After you finish shooting the subject, to avoid confusion, transfer the captured files to your computer and put them in a separate folder. It is better to name the folder according to the article or the name of the item you just filmed. If your camera does not have a direct connection to the computer, or copying files during shooting is not very inconvenient for you, there is another solution: take an empty frame - a “break” between shooting different objects. For example, take a photo of an empty table without an object, or a colored card, or your hand. After filming all the subjects, you will transfer the files to your computer and easily separate a series of frames from each other - the “cut” frames will help you.

Having received the original photographic material, we proceed to its processing.

Stage 2 - creating rotating 3D photographic images of objects (objects, goods)

A series of photographs of an object are processed in one of several ways:

1) Special sites for automatically creating rotating images

We recommend sites for you sirv.com,3dbin.com And megavisor.com. These sites allow you to quickly obtain finished rotating images from a series of photographs of an item on a turntable. An excellent solution “for dummies” and non-specialists! Left-right mouse rotation is supported; you can additionally enable or disable independent image rotation with a spinning top.

The process is very simple: you register on the site with the desired username and password, upload the series of photos you have taken into the appropriate window, and immediately receive a ready-made 360-degree rotating image, as well as a link in html format for inserting into your site. In order for a rotating image to appear on your website (on a blog, on a social network), you just need to copy and paste the html link correctly onto the page of your website. Just like inserting links to YouTube videos.

Advantage of sites sirv.com,3dbin.com And megavisor.com: you do not need any special knowledge, you do not need to study programs, all processing occurs automatically.

There are free and paid options for using these sites; free ones have some restrictions on the number of projects created. Websites are in English.

2) Simple rotation on HTML5- ready-made free solution for your website

Photo images are displayed in the form of a rotating image using a special player (script) installed on the site. The original images (phases of rotation of the object) are placed in a separate folder, and their display on the site page is carried out by a script (JavaScript) embedded on the page. This animation method guarantees excellent performance on any mobile device and computer, without restrictions.

For your convenience, we have prepared an example of a simple script with a description. You can apply it on your website. Templates have been prepared for different numbers of angles - download them for free and use

3) HTML5 animation using the Object2VR program

Object2VR is currently the most popular program for obtaining rotating images from a series of photographic images.

The advantage of the HTML5 format: compatibility with almost all devices and operating systems.

4) HTML5 and GIF animation using 360° Product Viewer

Create rotating 3D images in HTML or GIF format, your choice. The program is convenient and easy to learn!

Creating a video in HTML format: Program 360° Product View r automatically creates a set of folders with files that you just need to insert into the site, make a link to the index.html file and you will get a rotating image of the item on the screen. There are on/off rotation control buttons, adjustment of rotation speed, zoom, etc. You can insert your logo into the video. Using this program is very simple, the only drawback is that the program is not Russified (texts are in English), but everything is intuitive. Demo version 360° Product Viewer by default inserts a small "YoFLA" logo into the image window. There is an easy way to remove this logo; if you wish, you can substitute your own text instead. Advantages of the HTML format: rotation is displayed without problems on any mobile device!

Creating a video in GIF format: Program 360° Product Viewer creates a GIF animation file that is immediately ready for uploading to the site. The demo version does not insert the manufacturer's logo into the GIF video, so you can safely use this program without registration. Very simple and convenient to work with!

The 360° Product Viewer can be downloaded free of charge from:

7) GIF animation

Advantages of the GIF format:
- GIF animation is easy to make, even without skills,
- the GIF image is displayed without problems on all mobile devices.
Flaw:
- it is impossible to control rotation (rotation is only non-stop and only in one direction).

To create videos in GIF format, there are many special GIF animation programs, for example:
- PhotoScape. A simple and convenient free program. There is pre-processing of images. Understands various photo formats. Best suited for videos with incomplete rotation of the object (swinging left-right, ping-pong, bounce)
- UnFREEz. An extremely simple free program. Disadvantage: it cannot process images, it only works with a prepared set of images in GIF format
- 360° Product Viewer. Gives excellent results. You don't need to buy a registered version to create GIF videos.
-
- Easy GIF Animator, Babarosa Gif Animator, Advanced GIF Animator and etc.
All these programs can be found and downloaded on the Internet. It's not difficult to master working with GIF animation programs. Once you have mastered the technology, you can quickly fill your site with rotating product images.

6) Easy 3D Scan program - creating 3D images based on captured video

The program will allow you to create interactive 3D images and embed them into
directory of your website in just 3 steps:

1. Take a video of a rotating object. All you need is digital
camera, light, background and turntable.
2. Upload the captured video to the program. The 3D image will be ready
in just 2 minutes.
3. Upload the finished image to your account on the Cappasity platform and
embed it on a website, mobile or VR/AR application.

As a result:
Regardless of the animation method you choose, viewers will see an animated image of the object on your site with the correct, uniform rotation. All options except GIF support mouse rotation.

The nature of the rotation of the object
Rotation of an object can be complete (360 degrees) or partial (swinging the object left-right, ping-pong, bounce):

In what cases is an additional background needed? Recommendations for installing light when shooting objects on a turntable

Using a turntable with a lightcube

Lightcube provides ample opportunities for light control, and the light sources can be almost any. Even inexpensive LED reflector lamps give good results.

Lighting when shooting clothes on mannequins.

Behind the turntable with a mannequin standing on it, a white paper background is hung or a large sheet of hardboard (plywood) painted with ordinary white acrylic paint is placed. The peculiarity of this lighting scheme is that the background is illuminated separately, and the item of clothing on the mannequin is separately illuminated. The purpose of background lighting is to make the background uniformly white. To do this, two light sources are usually used, standing to the right and left of the subject outside the frame, and directed towards the background. And the clothing being photographed is also illuminated by two light sources from the front and slightly from the side on the right and left in order to correctly convey the volume and texture of the clothing.

Photoshop is not only the most popular graphic editor, but also has tools for creating simple 3D models. Using Photoshop, you can make almost any 3D model, for use in any composition, design, or for subsequent 3D printing.

In this tutorial we will look at creating a simple 3D object, namely a vase. Using this method, you can create various round 3D objects, for example, a glass, a pipe, a round table, etc. As the lesson progresses, you will understand exactly what objects can be created using this method.

For work, I found an image of a vase in png format, from which I will make a 3D object. You can download this image, as well as the source file for this lesson, from this page in the right column.

1) Open the vase image using Photoshop; to do this, select “File” - “Open” in the top menu bar or press the “Ctrl + O” key combination.

2) Create a new canvas of the required size, to do this, select “File” - “Create” in the top menu or the key combination “Ctrl + N” and indicate the required canvas size, I will make a square canvas measuring 1024px by 1024px.

3) Drag the image of the vase onto the created canvas, to do this, select the “Move” tool in the left panel, then in the layers panel, click on the layer with the vase with the left mouse button and, holding it down, simply drag the layer to the new canvas.

If, after opening an image, the layer with it is locked, i.e. there is a lock icon on the layer on the right, you must first unlock it, otherwise you won’t be able to drag the layer to another canvas. If you don’t know how to unlock a layer, you can read the article “how to unlock a layer in Photoshop”.

4) Now, after we have dragged the layer with the vase onto a new canvas, we need to adjust the image to the size of the canvas. To do this, select the layer with the image of the vase, left-click on it in the layers panel and select “Edit” in the top menu - “ Free Transform" or press the key combination "Ctrl + T".

Then, holding down the "Shift" key and the left mouse button, we adjust the required size of the vase.

The "Shift" key must be held down in order for the image size to change proportionally.

5) After we have placed the image of the vase on the canvas and adjusted the required size, we need to draw the walls of the vase in order to later create the object itself using 3D deformation. We need to draw not all the walls of the vase, but exactly half, so for convenience we can use Photoshop’s auxiliary tool - “Ruler”, with which we can mark half of the vase in the image. If you don’t see the ruler, then you just need to turn it on; to do this, in the top menu, select “View” - “Rulers”. There should be a check mark next to the "Rulers" item. I also recommend enabling "Auxiliary Elements" if they are not enabled.

Now you can mark the image by arranging the rulers; to place the ruler, you must hold down the left mouse button on it and, while holding it, drag the ruler to the desired place. In this case, we need to mark half of the vase vertically, so I'll take the vertical ruler on the left and place it in the middle of the vase.

Next, select the “Pen” tool in the toolbar and use it to outline the walls of the vase, while making the required thickness of the walls; the thicker it is, the thicker the walls of the 3D object will be. It should look something like the screenshot below.

In general, you need to make a wall contour of the required thickness. Please note that I made the bottom of the vase exactly horizontal, because if it is made round, the 3D vase will have a convex bottom. To draw an even horizontal outline with the pen, you must hold down the "Shift" key. The wall contour itself must be closed.

Now let's fill the outline to make a shape out of it. To do this, use the same “Pen” tool to right-click on the outline and select “Fill Outline” in the menu that appears. As a result, the outline will be filled with the color that you selected in the toolbar, in my case - red. You can fill it with absolutely any color; in the future, we will still apply a drawing to the call.

After filling the outline, right-click on the outline again and select “Delete Outline”

As a result, we will get the shape of the vase wall on a new layer. After this, the layer with the vase image can be simply turned off by clicking on the “Eye” icon next to this layer.

6) Finally, we got to the most interesting part - working with 3D Photoshop tools. In the top menu bar, with the layer with the image of the vase wall selected, select “3D” - “New 3D extrusion from selected layer.”

This way we will create a 3D object from the shape of the vase wall and the Photoshop work environment will automatically switch from the "Main work environment" mode, by default, to the "3D" mode.

In the layers panel, as you can see in the screenshot above, a “3D” tab has appeared, which contains the layers of our 3D object.

7) Next, we will make a full-fledged vase from the wall of the vase, using the 3D deformation tool. In the right panel in the properties, select the “Deform” property and set the “Horizontal Angle (X)” adjustment slider to 360 degrees.

The result will be a finished 3D model of the vase.

But, as we see, the vase turned out not quite similar to the one we need to make; it turned out thinner than in the image. To adjust it to the required width, move the “Extrusion Depth” adjustment slider to the desired size, while focusing on the ruler, which should be exactly in the middle of the vase.

When working with a 3D object, keep in mind that the object's main layer, marked with a star icon, must be selected in the layers panel.

8) And so, we have a vase exactly the same as in the image, you can twist it and examine it from all sides.

Next, we will apply a design to this vase; we can also apply a relief, but I will leave the surface of the vase smooth. In order to specify a material for a 3D object, you need to select the “Extrusion Material” layer in the layers panel by left-clicking on it. As a result, on the right, above the layers panel, object properties will appear, in which you can select a material from standard Photoshop ones, or create your own.

Standard Photoshop materials are quite varied, there is metal, plastic, glass, wood, etc., you can choose any ready-made material for your object, both with and without texture (smooth).

In the case of the vase, I will choose a simple material, without texture, it doesn’t really matter whether it is metal, plastic or something else, because in the future we will put a picture on this material.

9) And so, we have chosen the necessary material and now we will overlay the image of flowers to make a painted vase. I took an image of flowers, which you can download with all the files for the lesson in the right column, but you can use any image of your own. It is better to choose a seamless image so that it is evenly superimposed on the object and has no visible seams, otherwise everything will not look very good. You can google and find ready-made seamless wallpapers to suit your taste.

In the properties panel of a 3D object, click on the “Object Scattering” icon and select “Edit Texture”.

Please note that there are textures that cannot be edited and have a different type of scatter icon. If you installed a non-editable texture, then simply change it to another one so that the “Scattering” item displays the icon as in the screenshot above.

By clicking on the “Edit Texture” item, this texture will open in a separate Photoshop tab. To make it more convenient to edit the texture and observe the result on the 3D model, we will open a window with the texture and a window with a vase next to it, arranging them vertically. To do this, in the top menu, select “Window” - “Arrange” - “Arrange everything vertically” and as a result we get this type of interface:

Now, when we edit the texture, we will be able to observe the appearance of our 3D vase. You can take any brush, set its color and size and simply draw something on the texture and as a result we will get this design on the vase.

But, as I said earlier, we will not paint our 3D object, but will put a ready-made drawing with flowers on it. To do this, open the seamless pattern in Photoshop and drag it onto a canvas with a texture, i.e. We perform the actions as in points No. 1 and No. 3 of this lesson.

As we can see, the pattern has been displayed on the vase, now it is necessary to adjust the pattern to the size of the texture or copy it several times and place it over the entire texture plane, since the pattern should be seamless, everything should turn out without any sharp transitions. The picture can be reduced, rotated or enlarged, at your discretion.

After applying the picture to the vase, we return to the normal display of windows; to do this, in the top menu, select “Window” - “Arrange” - “Combine all on tabs”.

9) The next step is to adjust the angle of the vase, i.e. we install it in the angle we need, let’s say the view is a little from above. If you want to place an object in a photo, let’s say put this vase on a shelf captured in the photo, then you adjust the angle of the vase to the location of the shelf in the photo.

You can also adjust the object’s shadow, or turn it off so you can simply draw it manually. If you want to adjust the shadow right away, then select in the layers panel, in the 3D tab the main layer with the object and the mouse, adjust the angle and range of illumination by moving the lamp. If you want to turn off shadows, then uncheck the “Capture shadows” and “Apply shadows” checkboxes.

10) Having placed the desired design on the vase, adjusted the required angle and applied shadows, the last moment is to render the object so that it takes on the best display quality. In the top menu, select “3D” - “Render 3D layer” and wait for Photoshop to render the object. The waiting time takes quite a long time, about 5-10 minutes, it all depends on the power of your computer.

At the end of the rendering procedure, you can save the resulting object in the format you need; to do this, select “File” - “Export” - “Save for web...” in the top menu. If you want to save an object in png format on a transparent background in order to later place it on another image or photo, then before saving, turn off the lower white background in the layers panel.

The result is such a nice vase, I made the light fall from above in front, so the shadow is visible only on the vase itself from its neck, and the shadow from the vase is not visible.

3D modeling programs will help you turn interesting sketches into beautiful prototypes and models that can then be used for a variety of purposes. This kind of software allows you to work with 3D graphics regardless of your level of training. The majority of 3D editors are quite simple (like Netfabb or Google SketchUp), so even a beginner can master them in a relatively short time. Modeling is used in a variety of fields: architecture and design, cinema and computer games, and much more.

Creating 3D models and choosing the right program for this can often be a very difficult process, so many people simply try everything in search of the desired functionality and impact. Let's try to outline a list of the most popular and noteworthy applications that are distinguished by their rich functionality, comparative simplicity and accessibility.

Wings 3D

The main feature of the platform is that a once created 3D prototype allows you to quickly create models of a wide variety of standard products. The program supports “complex” 3D formats - SAT, IGES, XT, VRML, STEP, and is capable of transferring geometric packages to various types of CNC equipment, which makes it indispensable in production areas.

Operating systems support: Windows, Linux.

Daz Studio

The program is distributed free of charge, but this does not prevent it from being a fairly powerful platform - it is far from an easy tool to learn, so beginners will have to study 3D lessons on this platform for a long time and persistently. But the time and effort spent on detailed information is worth it. A beginner will be rewarded with extensive functionality, ample opportunities and truly beautifully turned out projects.

Creating 3D models in Daz Studio makes them extremely realistic thanks to GPU acceleration and advanced rendering. The platform supports the creation of critical 3D scenes and is equipped with extensive functionality for animating models of any complexity.

AutoCAD

This platform does not need any special introduction, because it is familiar to almost everyone - from novice engineers to professional architects working in large companies.

If you have skillful hands and a small package of knowledge in your arsenal, creating 3D models in AutoCAD will be quick and relatively simple. Moreover, you can replenish your knowledge base on this platform for quite a long time, due to its versatility and multifunctionality. Fortunately, there is plenty of all kinds of literature, lessons and articles on learning AutoCAD.

The main focus of the platform is drawing design, but the latest versions of the software and additional plugins significantly expand the capabilities of the program. Therefore, creating 3D models for games, interiors and design features is not uncommon in AutoCAD. However, venerable experts believe that the platform is designed exclusively for technical modeling and has excelled in this area. But if you suddenly want to “update” the furniture in your apartment or get into game design, AutoCAD will be a great help in your endeavors.

Netfabb

The developer positions the platform as a visualizer of interactive 3D scenes, but the extended version allows you to analyze, edit and make any changes to the constructed 3D models. One of the main features of the program is support for 3D printing. It is also worth noting that the software is exceptionally simple along with broad functionality.

The platform is extremely easy to learn, easy to install and supports most known 3D formats. You can find amateur (and very good) localization on the Internet, so beginners shouldn’t have any problems. Users speak warmly about the capabilities of the program, but nevertheless consider it a kind of help for carrying out more ambitious projects on venerable platforms.

Operating systems support: Windows, Linux, OS X.

Open SCAD

An interesting and free platform for 3D modeling, Open SCAD, allows you to get serious about interior design, industrial design and architecture. The developers were much less interested in any artistic aspects, therefore, unlike similar programs, this platform is not an interactive tool.

By and large, creating 3D models in Open SCAD is a compilation of projects, where the smallest details and details of an object are shown to you in three-dimensional space. Many use the platform as an intermediate tool (similar to Netfabb), leaving more serious programs to do the finishing touches.

Operating systems support: Windows, Linux, OS X.

AutoDesk 123D

The platform is equipped with rich functionality and has a large set of tools for 3D and CAD modeling. The software allows you to create, design and visualize any 3D projects, with the possible exception of critical geometric structures.

It is also worth noting that the platform fully supports 3D printing technology. Official support for the application will provide the user with many interesting and free 3D models that can be used for their experiments and other purposes. Multitasking and wide functionality allow the platform to be autonomous and independent of any third-party programs, that is, the entire modeling process can be carried out on AutoDesk 123D.

Operating system support: Windows, OS X, iOS

Meshmixer

The platform is considered an ideal tool for compiling and visualizing multiple projects or individual 3D models. In just two clicks you can cut a part from one model and paste it into another.

The platform also supports modeling, that is, the ability to create virtual sculptures and images, forming and refining the surface at any stage of construction, as if the model was being molded live from clay. Moreover, the whole process can be set to “real time” and adjusted according to the visual progress.

Operating systems support: Windows, OS X.

3D Crafter

Another free platform that allows you to work with 3D models in real time. The main feature for which the program is loved by beginners and experts is its intuitive drag-and-drop function.

The feature allows you to build more complex models or designs based on simple shapes and sketches. The program also supports sculptural design, sculpting and 3D printing capabilities. Many users consider the platform an ideal tool for creating simple to medium-complexity animated objects. Amateur localization will help beginners get used to it, and simple functionality will make it easy to navigate as they work.

Operating system support: Windows.

LeoCAD

This is a highly specialized platform for designing virtual objects of LEGO models. The software can be a good alternative to the expensive and difficult to learn LDD (Lego Digital Designer) program.

The utility has a relatively simple interface, can work in animation mode and supports keyframes. Moreover, it is the support for object animation that sets the product apart from other similar programs. If desired, you can find amateur support for the Russian language and additional text and video materials for a more detailed introduction to the platform.

Operating systems support: Windows, Linux, OS X.

Before you make a 3D video, install the MakeMe3D program that you downloaded and activate it using the key that I gave in the archive. A request for a key appears upon first launch.

After this, the program interface will appear in front of you. Let's look at the basic controls.

Here you can add folders with videos or individual files. You can also add the file directly from the DVD. A little below these buttons, a list of added files appears in the window, which will be converted to 3D.

Before you make a 3D video, you need to decide on what and with what you will watch it. The format to which you need to convert depends on this. So, MakeMe3D supports the following formats:

  • Horizontal and vertical 3D stereo for viewing on special monitors and with special stereo glasses.
  • Horizontal and vertical interlaced video.
  • Video for anaglyph glasses (with lenses of different colors) - yellow-blue, red-cyan, green-purple. Suitable for viewing on any monitor.

The resulting video formats are selected from this list.

MakeMe3D has a controlled preview that allows you to see the videos that will be converted.

Additionally, there are subtle settings you can experiment with.

Before you make a 3D video, add it to the program, select the required format, make settings if necessary, and click the “Convert” button.

Wait for the process to complete and get the finished 3D video using this link.
